From the first impression of the product description, I was not sure that this Wii Balance Board riser would perform adequately. I am glad to say that I was wrong! This product was rock solid in my tests. The ZooZen Wii Riiser does increase the level of workout!
I thought it was all plastic construction. After removing the product from the box, I was happy to see that the cross members are actually made of steel. That will last longer with the repeat exposure of step on step off. The steel crossbars are also a single piece from corner to corner.
Even though the cross members are collapsible, they have remained firmly in place through out my tests with the Basic Step routine and the Advanced step routine. I even used it with a few yoga poses without problems. The balance board seemed to take a better movement reading while placed on the riser, which makes me question which is better the carpet extender feet or the riser with use on Berber.
You do have to remove the carpet feet before placing the feet into the similarly shaped 2″ feet slots. This is a bit inconvenient for me since I use mine on the a fore mentioned Berber, but not enough to make me not use the product.
Overall the product was good. Initially, when learning about the balance board riser, I was skeptical. However, after being able to actually use the physical product, I am definitely adding it to my Wii Fit Girl lineup to get a good Wii Fit workout. It gives more of a challenge and helps burn those calories!
